Ali is a joyful and curious student of life who accidentally discovered yoga in 2008. The exploration of breath, rhythm, and embodiment in yoga immediately resonated with her lifelong study of music and dance. Since that first class, the spiritual, ethical, and devotional elements of practice have inspired her passion to share the yogic path with others. Ali’s classes include dharma, eccentric playlists, emphasis on breath and energy, and playfulness.

Ali’s training includes Metta meditation and Non-Violent Communication Training with meditation teacher Oren Jay Sofer, Yoga Club with Alison Smith, Yoga Tune Up Method Sequence and Science of Rolling with Dawn Adams, Prison Yoga Project Training with James Fox and Chanda Wilson, White and Awakening Together with Spirit Rock and East Bay Meditation Center with Kitsy Schoen and Crystal Johnson, and Unwinding Prejudice with Evelyn Carter on Commune.

Ali is ever-grateful for her teachers on the yogic path Marianne Linn, Lesley Desaulniers, and Alison Smith. Ali’s teaching style is inspired by Lesley’s lineage with Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati at the Ananda Ashram in NY, David Life and Sharon Gannon of Jivamukti, and meditation with Sharon Salzberg, Marianne’s lineage with Rod Stryker and Sarah Powers, and Alison’s lineage with Anusara Yoga, alignment and therapeutics, and Non-Dual Shiva Tantra. She holds an RYT200 and RYT300 and teaches at yoga studios, gyms, jails, and juvenile centers in Marin County. She is honored to study, share, and grow yoga in community.
